I thoroughly enjoy our new weekday morning routine - walking to school with the kids. It's a tiny bit of quality time I get to spend with my kids at the beginning of each day. I think they may even look forward to it now, but that could be wishful thinking.<br />

I haven't forced my eating on my family, but it wasn't hard to squeeze in some items. That's funny. It's not exactly what it looked like, because walking into the room was not very easy.<br />

It is time to pass on games & toys that have not seen the light of day in a couple years. My scrapbook materials havebeen collecting dust over the past couple of years as well, and THAT needs to change.<br />

The past couple of weeks, I have been sorting through everything in that room. My ultimate goal is to have the room completely redecorated and ready to use by September 28th, when my mom comes out for a visit. It will be my craft area as well as the kids' homework room. I'm excited!<br />

We left for California while the kids had their spring break, and then I was out of town, by myself, for most of last week and Ray was in charge. Of course, they ate out every night but one.<br />

I've been meaning to point out that although I do use cook book recipes quite often, I use them mostly as guidelines. That means that I don't follow the recipe to a T, especially if I have an alternative ingredient such as quinoa instead of couscous, or I'll use fresh vegetables instead of the canned or frozen variety.<br />
