Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...in the desert!

I absolutely LOVE winter, and yesterday was one of the best days for me while living here in Las Vegas. It was my favorite type of snow - like I'm in my own personal snow globe. And, it wasn't sticking on the streets - all the more better!

My day started out not so hot as I could barely swallow. I went to the UMC clinic after taking both kids to school only to find out I had tonsilitis. But, a trip to Walgreen's afterwards has so far been a blessing.

Cesira had a birthday party after school, and then we went to pick up Ian from school. The closer we got to his school, the more I realized that the snow was sticking. Luckily for them, I had canceled their piano lessons for the afternoon, because I was not up to driving around anymore. When we got home they got dressed in their winter clothes (and then even have boot this year!) and went out to play. Ian and Cesira were so excited to see the snow, because they knew that when we moved from Indiana, there wouldn't be anymore snow at our house in the winter.

  1. Wow... you got snow in Vegas. Pretty amazing. We have plenty of snow up this way. I think, if I heard the news right lastnight, that Mt. Rose received 18 new inches of snow yesterday.

If I didn't just get a new puppy, I'd be snowshoeing this Saturday. :)
