The Dreaded Black Hole

I've been waiting for this to come - the first week of school. We've had a busy and fun summer, and now it's time for me to buckle down on a project that I've been putting off for WAY TOO LONG - our "play" room. It's a total eye sore! This is just a glimpse of what it looked like over the summer:

That's funny. It's not exactly what it looked like, because walking into the room was not very easy.

It is time to pass on games & toys that have not seen the light of day in a couple years. My scrapbook materials havebeen collecting dust over the past couple of years as well, and THAT needs to change.

The past couple of weeks, I have been sorting through everything in that room. My ultimate goal is to have the room completely redecorated and ready to use by September 28th, when my mom comes out for a visit. It will be my craft area as well as the kids' homework room. I'm excited!

As you can see, I still have have plenty of work to do in there...I'd better get started!
