Arbor Day/Renaissance Fair

Ian and Cesira's school has a yearly Arbor Day/Renaissance Fair in October. Due to the rain last week, the event was moved from Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon. Ian was quite concerned that it would be flat out cancelled when he woke up and saw the cloud filled sky. Luckily, the weather held out, and we were able to join in the festivities after each of their respected after school programs. Oh, and the kids were thrilled that they could wear "normal" clothes to school for both days!

The Middle School students performed various skits and sang songs while the families watched and listened while having fun at the many booths: cupcake walk, digging for worms, face painting (some legs, stomachs & arms as well!), t-shirt decorating, candle decorating, pumpkin decorating and banana races.

Ian and Cesira love the banana races, and Cesira really enjoys digging for the worms. This year, both decided to decorate t-shirts. And, Ian even painted a pumpkin.

These pictures are from my iphone, so they're not the clearest. But, it shows that they had fun, and that's the most important part.
