Halloween Fun

Wow, it has already been a week since Halloween. Sorry, I was a little distracted the past week in getting ready for my trip to Illinois to scrapbook (that's another post). Where has the time gone?!

At any rate, the following is what I intended to post exactly one week ago today:
This past Thursday, both kids were able to wear their costumes to school. Cesira's class only had plans to wear their costumes, and they were all very excited. With only 10 in the class, not one costume was duplicated. I couldn't help but to take pictures of them. Ian chose to be Scream Blood - only, he wasn't able have the blood in his mask, and he wasn't allowed to wear his mask at school for that matter. For Ian's class party, I was in my witches costume and was able to read a few Halloween stories.

With Halloween being on a Friday this year, it just happened to also be Nevada Day, so it was a day off school for the kids. With a new addition to Victoria's family, Elodie Elizabeth, we drove to California to spend the weekend with my mother-in-law, Barbara, and to visit Ray's sister and the baby. Our kids are always up for seeing their cousins - no matter which side of the family. And, given that we still don't know any of our neighbors all that well, it was an easy decision.

Our drive to California went well, and the kids were looking forward to trick or treating with their cousins, Nico (reaper) and Christian (ghost) and Las Vegas friends, Lennox (victim) and Quinn (wizard), for trick-or-treating. The kids had a great time, and it was actually fun to dress up for a change. Our brother-in-law, Jean Marc, Las Vegas friends, Irena (mask) & Scott (camera man), joined Ray and I in wandering the neighborhood.
It's been a nice weekend. Unfortunately, Ian had a temperature on Saturday, so he and I did not get to meet Elodie.
